TB Electronix can help you navigate the entire warranty/repair process. We provide warranty coverage searches, and diagnostic and repair services for refrigerators, stoves/ovens, dishwashers, washers, and dryers. Below, you'll find information about the different types of warranties as well how to purchase an extended warranty from us, along with information and commonly asked questions about our extended warranties.
Manufacturer Warranty Repair
-
This means that your TV or appliance is still within the manufacturer's warranty period and there is no repair cost to you. The warranty period is typically the first year of the life of the product. But some components of your appliance, such as a washer motor, carry a longer manufacturer warranty period. The warranty period begins on date of purchase if the product was purchased directly from a retailer or manufacturer.
-
If you bought a new home, your warrant period begins on the day the unit was installed. Most manufacturer warranties cover both parts and labor cost on most components. Depending on the age of the unit, some warranties may only cover the cost of the part and you are responsible for the cost of the labor to complete the repair.
Non-Warranty Repair
-
A non-warranty repair is when there is no manufacturer warranty or extended warranty whatsoever. This is also known as “COD” repair. Depending on the problem or the product, the manufacturer may give you a “One-time warranty extension” for parts and labor or only cover the parts an you are responsible for the labor. This depends on the manufacturer and the age of the product.
-
If you have no warranty, its best to check with the manufacturer first to see if they will help you out. If they will not, we can still repair you appliance or TV, but you must pay the cost of both parts and labor.
Extended Warranty Repair
-
An extended warranty provides additional coverage beyond the manufacturer's warranty. You can purchase an extended warranty directly from the manufacturer, from the retailer who sold you the product, or from a home warranty service company.
Most extended warranties covers the same components as the manufacturer warranty, however; some may not cover everything, so you must understand your warranty's limitations. -
Also, before buying an extended warranty, be sure to check the manufacturers warranty. It may have a 5-year of 10-year warranty period on the product or specific components., that's why it's important to understand what's covered by the manufacturer.

Do I Need an Extended Warranty?
If you are investing in a new product and expect it to last a few years, only you can insure that expectation. Most manufacturers limit their warranty periods to 1 year to keep their product costs competitive. It should come as no surprise that most problems occur after the first year is over. If you are like most consumers, you don’t want to deal with the inevitable problems surrounding repairs. Who do you call for service? Are they reliable? Is a handyman capable of performing a long lasting, reliable repair on your equipment? How are you going to transport a large product to a service facility?
